You're in the home stretch! Now it's a matter of jumping through some hoops and over a hurdle or two before you actually start raking in the money! Export certification is the next major obstacle. Different countries require different documents to guarantee that specific products are safe enough to be allowed in their country. Since these documents are product-specific and country-specific, you may have to do some searching to find out what exactly you need. And then finding someone to help you get that document may prove to be yet another challenge. Fortunately, Mr. Money doesn't have to see these documents. But he may ask you if you've thoroughly checked out the requirements. Just to show him that you are on top of things (and incidentally for your grade), determine:
Prepare a list for your teacher, and be ready to field the curve-ball questions Mr. Money may ask. The next major hurdle is your HACCP plan. At some point, you may have to legally prove that your product is safe for consumption by the general public. In preparation, think through the potential hazards for which you would need to account. Make a list of at least five (5) hazards that you need to be very careful to control. |
