Agribusiness in a Global Environment Lesson 9
Lesson 9 Activity - Legal Issues

You're almost there!!!! This is the last activity related to your export product, and it's a relatively simple one. Every business has to deal with legal and business issues. When you're talking about two countries, you're dealing with not one but two sets of legal policies.

For this assignment, spend some time thinking through the legal system you will be working under. Where does it fall in the categories discussed in this lesson? Who is really in charge? How are disputes handled locally? Is there any difference in handling international disputes? Do you have any U.S. aid in that country?
What, if any, trade barriers do you have to contend with? How will you conduct business under those barriers?

Write a paragraph or two answering these questions for your country and your product if applicable. Discuss any differences from the typical domestic business policies. Mr. Money has no business sticking his nose into this, so just turn your paper in to your teacher.
